Body is a Bridge

"Bridges can be used to get from one place to the next, or they can be used to access areas that are otherwise unreachable. The body is the bridge through which one communicates; we "get through" challenges by sharing the dynamic and fluid realities that so many of us endure in isolation, but so few expose. By sharing, we can encourage vulnerability, tenderness, and visibility, we can help encourage one another.
The Body Is a Bridge mingles the narratives of two distinct yet related characters, Johanne and Bianca. Through an intersectional lens these images detail the lived experiences of illness, and explore the idea that one's physical body can serve as a connective tool. The body can channel experience from one person to another, forming connective webs of understanding, inclusion, individualized bodies, unique experiences, and expansive hope."
